BARTLETT, Eugene Alexander - age 86, of Kentville, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Evergreen Home for Special Care. Born in Stanley, N.B., he was a son of the late Earl and Linda (Foreman) Bartlett. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years, until his retirement. He had a love for vegetable and flower gardening. An avid cribbage player, he was a member of the Canning Senior's Group and a member of a bowling league for a number of years. He had a love of hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanette (Brown); sons, Robert (Cathy) and David; granddaughter, Amanda (Eric); brother, Hilton (Noreen), Powell River, B.C.; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Douglas; sisters, Vinetta Arsenault and Leah Roberts; brothers, Alvin, Russell and Wendell. Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service, by request. A visitation, with a reception, will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, June 21st in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Parkinson Society Maritime Region. A special thank you is extended to the staff of Evergreen Home for Special Care for their loving care, especially special nurses, Barb and Susan, Dr. Seaman, to the kitchen staff for all the beautiful meals provided and also to the many family and friends for their calls and support.
