Murray Arthur Lanigan

LANIGAN, Murray Arthur - Age 87, Chester, passed away May 26, 2019. Born in Rexton, N.B. he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Courtney) Lanigan. Predeceased by wife, Mary, he was the last surviving and youngest of 12 children. Survived by children, Bernice (Daniel), David (Joanne), Derrick (Christine), and Mary Frances (Paul); 10 cherished grandchildren; four beloved great-grandchildren; sisters/brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews. Murray was a veteran of the Korean War in the Canadian Navy. He loved sports, supporting numerous children's charities, country music, and was always singing and telling stories. He was Chief Referee for hockey, lay reader St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Mason Clark Lodge 61, Shriner, and member of Legion Branch 44, Chester Curling Club, and Chester Golf Course. Special thank you to Heart to Heart in Home Care owner and staff. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be in Davis Funeral Home June 20th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be June 21st, 2 p.m. in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester, reception to follow in the church hall.
