TONEY, Thomas Leo - 74, of Gold River, near Chester, died Thursday at Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Toney. He was a graduate of Acadia University and served in the Royal Canadian Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Besides his wife, the former Mary Peters, he is survived by seven sons, Robert, Gold River; Joseph, Halifax; Malcolm, Thomas Jr., Edward, Paul, and John, all of Worcester, Mass.; a daughter, Eileen (Mrs. Mervin Hacard), Worcester, Mass.; a sister, Rita (Mrs. Abraham Smith), Hantsport; and a brother, Patrick, Boston. The body is at the Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral mass will be held in St. Augustine's Roman catholic church 10 a.m., Rev. Lloyd O'Neill officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
