DAUPHINEE, Douglas George - 65, Halifax, died September 12, 1996, in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Palmer Dauphinee and Alice McKeil. He retired after 21 years of service from the City of Halifax as a cemeterian at Camp Hill and Fairview cemeteries. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years, having served in Korea. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Scotia Branch. Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Giles; aunts, Ida (Dolly) Muhl, Eva Scott, Chester. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, both in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax, Dr. Leslie McCurdy officiating. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Nova Scotia division, Canadian Diabetes Association, Nova Scotia division or any charity.
