Died: 05 May 2019, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

DALGLEISH, Mary Louise (MaryLou) (née Sellers) - age 88, of Beaver Bank, passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 5, 2019 in the Palliative Care Unit of the VG Site, QEII in Halifax. Born June 16,1930 in Thunder Bay, Ont., she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Monica (MacTeigue) Sellers. She was married to Thomas Edward "Ted" Dalgleish on September 7, 1957 also in Thunder Bay. MaryLou served in the Womens Royal Canadian Navy until leaving to raise her family. She returned to work as a Laboratory Technologist in the Haematology Department of the Victoria General Hospital until her retirement. She was an active member of Saint John Vianney Church for many years. In her youth MaryLou enjoyed many athletic activities such as skiing, tennis, swimming and competitive diving. She also enjoyed flower gardening and was always an avid reader, but she was most happy when vacationing at her family cottage at Silver Islet, Ont., entertaining family and friends or simply enjoying the view. Survived by daughters, Catherine and Susan; son, Colin and nieces, Carrie and Michelle. Predeceased by her husband, Ted; sister, Joan Turnbull and brother, Albert "Bud" Sellers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
