GALLOWAY, Eric James - 81, 163 College Rd., Bible Hill, Colchester County, died February 26, 1993, in Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late David and Jessie I. (Roberts) Galloway. He was employed with Canadian National Railways, B. and B. Department, retiring in 1974 after 47 years of service. He was a veteran of the Second World War, member of Naval Officers Association, Chief Petty Officers Association, Canadian Naval Divers Association and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro. He was a member of Burns Lodge 10, Halifax, Botsford Chapter 7 Moncton, Luxor Temple and First United Church, Truro. He is survived by a son, Robert, Dartmouth, two grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jean, Catherine (Kay), two brothers, Roy, David (Allison). The body is in Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today where a legion service will be 7 p.m. tonight and where funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Chalmers Hatcher officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria General Hospital Burn Unit or Shriners Crippled Children's Travelling Fund.
