Died: 30 Apr 2019, Halifax, Nova Scotia

SINDERLY, Peter Joseph Paul - Age 85. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Peter Sinderly of Eastern Passage peacefully in Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, QEII on April 30, 2019. Born in Port William, Ont., he was a son of the late, Joseph and Mary (Holdos) Sinderly. He was predeceased by his wife and best friend of 47 years, Marion Sinderly (Sawler, Rodgers); sister, Josephine and brother, Frank. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Sinderly and his son, Michael Sinderly (Barbara); special grandsons, Devin Doucette and Dakoda Sinderly; stepchildren, Robert "Big Bob", Patricia "Pat" and Sharon; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph and Albert. Pete proudly served in the regular and reserve forces of the Royal Canadian Navy for over 31 years, which gave him the opportunity to see the world. Pete had a huge heart and always had a smile on his face; he would always drop everything to help a family member, friend or a neighbour and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He will be deeply missed but will stay in our hearts forever. Cremation has taken place at his request. Funeral services will be held in St. Peters Anglican Church, 346 Cow Bay Rd., Eastern Passage, Tuesday, May 7th at 1 p.m. The family wants to say a huge thank you to the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Camp Hill for their compassionate care of our dad in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, QEII. Arrangements entrusted to Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home. "Sadly missed along life's way, quietly remembered every day, no longer in our life to share but in our hearts you'll always stay." (Halifax Chronicle-Herald)
