HAINES, Frankly W. (Frank), Sr. - 80, Bayside, Halifax County, died Wednesday in Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax. Born in Conquerall Bank, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late George and Georginia (Hebb) Haines. He operated a small contracting business in Bridgewater for many years and served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Stevens; two sons, Franklyn, Liverpool; Wade, Lakeland Retreats; a brother, Donald, Bridgewater; two sisters, Ruby (Mrs. Gerald Ritcey) and Dora (Mrs. George Himmelman), both of Conquerall Bank; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Donald Roy; two sisters, Sybil and Gladys; five brothers, Clyde, Melbourne, Owen, Percy and Seldon. The body is in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Canon Emery G. Harris officating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only.
