MOORE, William Churchill - 65, of Toronto, formerly of Pictou, N.S., died Sunday at the Sunnybrook Veteran's Hospital. Born in Halifax, he grew up in Pictou, son of the late Clarence L. and Martha (Maxwell) Moore. He was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada at various provincial points before joining the Royal Canadian Navy at the outbreak of the Second World War. He served as Lieutenant-Commander in overseas war zones for the duration of the war. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Snell, Ottawa and Mrs. Kathleen Murray, of Halifax. He was predeceased by a brother Henry. A Royal Canadian Legion funeral service will be conducted Wednesday in Toronto, where burial will take place. (Halifax Mail-Star 19 Sep 1978)
