Born: 27 Nov 1916, Regina, Saskatchewan

 

Died: 30 Apr 1994, Victoria, British Columbia

 

CHARLTON, James Leslie - peacefully at Victoria on April 30, 1994. Mr. Charlton was born at Regina, Saskatchewan on November 27, 1916. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years and retired from BC Hydro in 1980. Les was also a life member of the Chief Petty Officers Associations. Predeceased by his former wife, Doris; brothers Joe, Doug, Walt, Cliff and sister Edith. Survived by his loving wife Eleanor, daughter Holly Wood (Brian) and son Skip (Jane); grandchildren Theresa, Trevor, Vikki and Doug; step-children Darlene Hannah, Reg Beale and Eleanor Allan. Memorial service on Wednesday, May 4, 1994 at 2 p.m. in First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1155 Fort Street, Victoria. Flowers gratefully declined in favour of memorial donations to the BC Lung Association.
