Died: 31 Aug 1989, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

McNUTT, Ernest Linwood - 83, 5537 Hennessay Place, Halifax, died Thursday in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Ernest and Maude McNutt. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a boy and served until 1945. He was then employed with Oland and Sons Ltd. until retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Halifax. A former legionnaire, he is survived by his wife, the former Angeline Peters; a son, Ernest, Halifax; three daughters, Helen Russell, Gananoque, Ont., Alice Leduc, Dartmouth, Marion Crasto, Halifax; three brothers, a sister all of the United States; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Charles; a grandson. The body is in Snow's Funeral Home, Halifax, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 01 Sep 1989)
