Charles Richard Sigut

Died: 1990

 

SIGUT, Charles Richard - Charles was born in 1925 in Sydney, NS. He attended Sydney Academy. He helped the war effort by working at Sydney Steel before joining the Navy. He joined the RCNVR in 1942 at age seventeen. He served aboard HMCS Lanark in the Atlantic until 1945, when he was honourably discharged. After the war, he attended St. F.X. University and Dalhousie Law School, graduating with an LLB in 1952. He was City Solicitor in Moncton, NB and City Clerk at Canso, NS, and practiced law in Sydney. He was married to Rose Adams and is survived by three children. Charles passed away in 1990.
