JOYNT, John Patrick - It is with monumental sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of John, age 94 at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Muriel of 70 years. He was the ever present and caring father of Patrick (Connie), Stephen (Shao-Mei), Lynda (Richard) and Kevin (Kim). Papa was a doting grandfather of Meileen, Sharleen, Andrea, Sarah, Jenny, Rebecca, Audrey, Patrick and Olivia. He was also the proud great-papa of eight great-grandchildren. A veteran of World War Two and a 38 year employee of Bell Canada. He will long be remembered for his incredible work ethic, beautiful voice and strong faith. Special thanks to the incredibly dedicated staff at the Perley for their inspired care. Also, thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the General Hospital. Friends may call at the Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at the Woodvale Pentecostal Church on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 10 am until service time. Funeral service will be at Woodvale Pentecostal Church, 205 Greenbank Rd, Nepean on Saturday December 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. Those wishing, memorial donation to the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Center would be appreciated.
