"The ships [of the Kingston Class] were incredibly useful and perfect in so many ways, on missions of sovereignty and patrol, in operations domestically and internationally especially in demining the Baltic, and incredibly all over the far north, sailing extensively on counter drug missions and on capacity and confidence and building in the Caribbean, eastern Pacific, and Gulf of Guinea, teaching maritime security operations to no less than 20 nations, all the while generating proud and capable sailors, and giving the Naval Reserves a sense of purpose never before realized in Canada."  by Rear-Admiral John Newton, MMM, MSM, CD, RCN ret'd - 31 May 2025
