In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar

Ralph Henry Zwicker

C.A.F. (Navy)

Born: 11 Jan 1956          Died: 03 Sep 2026

ZWICKER, Ralph Henry - was a loving father and grandfather whose family was truly his pride and joy. He had a big heart and a generous spirit, always going above and beyond to make sure the people he loved were cared for and never went without.

Ralph proudly served for 21 years in the Navy, from 1975 to 1996, where he was recognized throughout his career for his hard work and dedication. In his early years, he became affectionately known as the "Sandwich King" while working in the Officers' Mess. Following his Navy career, Ralph continued working and left a lasting impression on those he met along the way.

More than anything, Ralph loved his family. He loved cooking dinner and bringing everyone together around the table. He especially adored his grandson, Maxwell, who brought him tremendous pride and joy.

Those who knew Ralph will remember his generous heart, his stubborn streak, and all the little things that were simply Ralph—including rarely being seen driving around town without a large McDonald's Diet Coke by his side.

Ralph was predeceased by his father, Maxwell Zwicker. He is survived by his mother, Christel Zwicker; his sons, Maddox Zwicker and Cory (Samantha) Zwicker; his stepdaughter, Crystal Zwicker (Wyatt); his beloved grandson, Maxwell Zwicker; his brother, Peter Zwicker; and his stepbrother, Norman Lewis. He is also lovingly remembered by Kathy Boutilier, the mother of his children.

Ralph's love, generosity, humour, stubborn ways, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the family he loved so much. (The Halifax Chronicle-Herald 06 Sep 2026)
