SCOTT, William Charles (Willie) - Resident of Port Credit, Ont., and Rawdon, Que., suddenly at the Union Hospital, Moose Jaw, Sask on Sunday, October 15, 1972, William Charles Scott (Willie), in his 64th year, dearly beloved husband of Mima Campbell, dear father of Eleanor (Mrs. Jack O'Hara), William Jr., Barbara-Ann (Mrs. Brian Allen), all of Toronto, Ont.  Brother of Annie (Mrs. Edmund Turnbull) of Pittsburgh, Penn., John of Rawdon, Que., Betty (mrs. John Taughter) of Beaconsfield, Que., Hugh of Rawdon, Que., Margaret (Mrs. J. H. Butler) of Toronto, Jean (Mrs. Raymond Deignan) of Rawdon, Que.  Also survived by 10 grandchildren.  Resting at Skinner and Middlebrooke Funeral Home, Lakeshore Road, Port Credit, Ontario.  Funeral Thursday, October 19, in The Chapel at 11 a.m.  Interment Springcreek Clarkson Cemetery.  (Click here to view the obituary as published)

of 16 June 1945 and London Gazette of 14 June 1945.

 

"This Rating has been employed on ocean escort work in His Majesty's Canadian Corvettes for thirty-one months as Stoker Petty Officer. He has maintained an exceptionally high standard in the Engine Room Department and among the Engine Room Personnel as Regulating Stoker Petty Officer and Chief Stoker. His continual cheerfulness and resourcefulness, under sometimes trying conditions, are a fine example to all who serve with him."
