JENKINS, Gordon - Born Hamilton Ontario, 1937. Survived by his daughter Karen Rhyno (Michael Westlake), son-in-law Ernest Slate, grandsons Alexander and Nicholas, all of Halifax, niece Karlee Dockstator, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gordon is predeceased by wife of 59 years, Norma (Levy) as well as his daughter Sherri Slate, sisters Joyce Bellenie, Joan Haigh and Rosalee Miller, all of Hamilton Ontario. Predeceased by both parents Gordon Jenkins and Gertrude (Clark). Retired after 37 years 1954-1991 from the Royal Canadian Navy. Served on ships HMCS Quebec, HMCS Buckingham, HMCS Micmac, HMCS Crescent, HMCS Sioux, HMCS Cape Scott, HMCS Ottawa, HMCS Annapolis. Also, instructed at the Fleet School for many years. He was a member of the Atlantic Chief and Petty Officers Assoc. and a Royal Canadian Legion Member for 50 plus years. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. A. Snow Funeral Home.
