IRWIN, Charles Stephen (Charlie) - The death of Mr. Charles (Charlie) Irwin, age 72 years of Saskatoon, occurred on Saturday, April 27, 1996 at St. Paul's Hospital. The Memorial Service will be held at Wednesday, may 1, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. from Westwood Funeral Chapel, 20th Street and Avenue N, conducted by Rev. Alan Minarcik. Parking is available in the lot North of the Chapel on Avenue N. Surviving are his loving wife; Jean, two sons; Steve (Sharon) Irwin and Bob (Marie) Irwin, grandchildren; Wendi and Rob, two brothers, Bob and Jack, and one sister; Helen Correll. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy and infant brother Harold. Charlie Irwin was born at Bounty, SK, and later moved to Saskatoon where he was a long time businessman, and retired owner of "The Smoke Ship". Flowers are gratefully declined, and memorial donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Assoc., Memorial Research Fund, P.O. Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 7Y4. Charlie's brother Jack Irwin also served in the RCNVR. Charlie initially joined the Army, then transferred to the Navy.
