In October 1933, the seized vessel Fripon was purchased from the Department of National Revenue and renamed RCMP Islander. She was transferred to the RCN in 1939 and became HMCS ISLANDER and in 1943 was renamed HC51. She was declared surplus and turned over to CADC on 03 Oct 1945.1
